God in Residence
What a wonder it is to realise that the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us.
Not beside us. Not near us. Within us. This is why we can be absolutely certain that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. His presence is not distant, but deeply personal.
1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you…?
We are not just saved, we are sanctified.
Not just forgiven, we are filled.
And as carriers of His presence, we are called to honour Him in how we live, love, and lead.
So, my friend, this means caring for our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing to the best of our ability. It means doing our part by choosing nourishing food, drinking plenty of pure water, moving our bodies as we are able, and creating space to rest and release stress.
Our aim is to be fit and healthy, not for vanity, but for purpose. So that we can step fully into everything God has planned for us. Imagine standing before Him and realising that the choices we made held us back from walking out His beautiful design for our lives. That’s not a moment we want to face with regret.
Of course, with all things, we must come from a place of balance. This isn’t about obsession or extremes, and it’s certainly not about judging others for their choices or looking at ourselves with shame or guilt. Every journey is different. Every body is unique, so each persons journey must cater to their own situation. We are each to do the best we can in our situation for God's glory.
There are many factors that influence our health, some within our control, some not. In future blogs, we’ll explore those layers together. But for now, let’s begin with what we can choose today: small, life-giving decisions that honour the temple we’ve been entrusted with.

Mmm I do need to take a look at myself and make some changes. Knowing my body is a sacred temple where Holy Spirit dwells is a bit overwhelming but I know that He will lead me to make changes that are pleasing to Him and allow me to live for His glory.
