Prayer of Repentance for Believing the Unfinished Atonement Doctrine
Father God,
I come before You with an honest heart, acknowledging that I accepted teachings that did not align with Your Word. I confess that I believed the idea that Jesus’ atonement was not fully finished at the Cross, and that salvation depended on a later heavenly judgment or review of my life.
Today, I repent of that belief.
Your Word says that Jesus paid for my sins once for all.
Your Word says that His sacrifice is complete.
Your Word says that I am justified by faith, not by fear, works, or uncertainty.
“It is finished.” John 19:30
“We have been justified by faith.” Romans 5:1
“He entered once for all into the holy places.” Hebrews 9:12
Lord, I renounce every lie that told me the Cross was not enough.
I renounce every fear that said I was still waiting to be accepted.
I renounce every teaching that made me doubt the power of Jesus’ blood.
I choose to believe Your truth.
Jesus, Your sacrifice is complete.
Your blood is enough.
Your work is finished.
Your grace is sufficient.
Your salvation is secure.
Holy Spirit, wash my mind from every trace of confusion.
Heal the places where fear or uncertainty took root.
Restore my confidence in the finished work of Christ.
Anchor me in the freedom that comes from knowing I am fully forgiven, fully loved, and fully Yours.
Father, thank You for opening my eyes.
Thank You for leading me back to the simplicity of the Gospel.
Thank You that I don’t have to strive, fear, or wonder if I am accepted.
In Christ, I am already made clean.
Help me walk forward in truth, grounded in Scripture, resting in grace, and confident in the salvation Jesus purchased for me once and for all.
I receive Your peace.
I receive Your clarity.
I receive Your freedom.
